Stoker – New Teaser Poster And Video

Fox Searchlight UK has just released a new teaser poster and stylish video for Park Chan-wook’s (first English language film) Stoker, which is due for UK release 1 sMarch 2013.

Written by Wentworth Miller and starring Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode, the plot sees India’s (Wasikowska) father dies in a car accident. Her Uncle Charlie (Goode), comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). After his arrival, she begins to suspect this mysterious man has ulterior motives. Yet she starts to become increasingly infatuated with him.

The video intricately weaves together footage from the film and the poster’s creation, set against the haunting soundtrack of Becomes The Color by Emily Wells.

As he has demonstrated in his Korean ‘Vengeance Trilogy’ films (which included the hugely successful 2003 film, Oldboy), Park Chan-Wook has the daring ability to mould prominent and sometimes controversial family themes into works of genius. This is going to be a horror with some real depth and intense plot developments, it looks like its going to be brilliant.
