Star Wars 1313: First Gameplay Footage Revealed

We take a first look at gameplay from Star Wars 1313, the next addition to the Star Wars saga. But it looks like players will be dropping the Lightsaber in favour of a trusty Blaster.Ahead of the full gameplay demonstration at E3 later today, Creative Director Dominic Robillard debuted some real-time footage from the demo on Spike TV. Rather than playing as a Jedi Knight, players will take on the role of a Bounty Hunter sent to the seedy underworld of level 1313, in the sprawling “city in the clouds”, Coruscant.

We are told that your character will be able to create his own weapons and  gadgets, giving a great level of customisation to help you cope with Saber-withdrawal.

The brief gameplay footage also shows a fair bit of cover based shooting and what Robillard has referred to as “death defying platforming” skills. It’s also set to be rated M so fingers crossed for some dead Ewoks and perhaps some Wookie curse words.

Check out the gameplay video below (starts at around the 2 minutes mark).

Star Wars 1313 does not yet have a confirmed release date, or even a gaming platform at this stage, so stay tuned for more information throughout the coming year.
