SEGA Launches The House of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels

Zombie mania has swept the nation these last few years like a disease that cannot be controlled or cured. Everyone wants a piece of the corpse-killing action. So it’s good that SEGA have just launched a new version of The House of the Dead: Overkill to keep us throttling the undead. This cult classic title has been around forever, and now The Lost Reels have been uncovered and released to Google Play and the App Store for £2.99, meaning you can hunt walkers on the go!

Magic Pockets, the studio behind the game, have launched it with all the classic characters it had before, such as Agent G and Detective Washington, and there is a standard, mansion-roming story mode to play through as well as a survival mode, in which you battle horde upon horde of the dastardly dead in never ending waves. There are upgrades galore to unlock and purchase, and it works beautifully on mobile devices, as the designers have taken into account the accelerometer controlled movements and intuitive controls people are now come to expect on their phones.

What has always been great about The House of the Dead series is that they never take themselves too seriously. After all, it is just a game, and the over-the-top humour just adds to the appeal of this B-Movie style game. So come on guys, lock and load, we got us a good old fashioned zombie hunt!
