Ra Ra Riot Release Video For Beta Love

Quirky Electro-Pop masters Ra Ra Riot have released a music video for the title track of their upcoming album Beta Love and we thought we’d treat ourselves to a little look see.

With the release date for their new album peaking it’s beady eye over the horizon, Ra Ra Riot have given us a small taster of what is to come with a quaint little video for the title track, a quaint retro track which gets the 80’s treatment in it’s video.

The video consists of a large group of young music lovers, dressed in awful retro clothing, dancing in a studio awash with neon lighting and flashy signs. Think Top of the Pops and you’ll be swimming in the right sea, then imagine the closing few dances of a wedding, you know when they play Rick Astley for the tenth time, and you’ll have some idea of the quality of the dancing.

Terrible as the dancing is, the video is great fun and fit’s the perky little pop number well, it’s a homage to all those music shows where people who thought they were the next Michael Jackson would strut their stuff for us all to mock. It’s a good laugh and showcases the ethos of the band well with a shallow dip into the psyche.

Beta Love is released 18 March 2013, here’s the video for the title track;
