Opinion: Five Games I Want Rereleased In 3D For 3DS

Being a Nintendo fan I love going back and playing all my old Nintendo 64, GameCube and GBA games. I recently had the pleasure or reliving one of my favourite games, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, on the 3DS, with polished visuals and some gameplay tweaking. This made one of the best games ever, even better. So this got me thinking, what other games should be given a 3D treatment, bit of polishing and rereleased for the 3DS?

Pikmin
I for one am a huge fan of Pikmin. I spent many hours killing frogs, finding parts for Captain Olimar’s spaceship and gathering more Pikmin. This is the first ever game I played on my GameCube , for a 10 year old playing this game was the best part of the day. Pikmin would be perfect to have on the 3DS, the graphics and dimensions where really good at the time it first came out , plus it was a well rounded game, there was loads to do and it never got boring. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to play it anywhere I want.

Banjo Kazooie
I know this will never happen as Rare have bunked up with Microsoft, but a girl can dream, right? Even so, this game is one of my all time favourites, it was just so much fun running about, doing challenges and throwing eggs. If you have played Banjo Kazooie before them you know how great it is and how it must be brought back in 3D right now. It would be prefect and even more fun then when I was younger. It has been too long since Banjo Tooie (I wasn’t keen on Nuts & Bolts and much preferred the original style), there needs to be a revamp and what else suits it as much as the 3DS? Nothing I say, nothing.

Super Mario Sunshine
Do I really need to say why this game deserves to be in 3D? Well, I am going to anyway! The first time I played this game I was blown away by the vivid colours and graphics, it was just brilliant. There was so many areas to go through, so many great adventures and just overall great fun. I think that Nintendo has made a mistake by not already converting this game to 3D, I certainly would have played it over and over and over again.

Pokemon
Of course there should be a Pokemon game in 3D. Pokemon Black & White 2 have already shown that it can be done and it looks great. So far there has been so many Pokemon games in many different platforms which have all been really good but nothing would make happier that seeing all my favourite Pokemon battling in 3D! Personally I think that Pokemon Black & White 2 should have been made in 3D and I would have enjoyed it even more. Basically we just need a 3D Pokemon game and soon.

GoldenEye 007
I loved this game so much I probably played it everyday for weeks until I finally got the score of 007 on every level. I still laugh thinking about how many fights there would be when playing the multiplayer, especially Facility. I feel that this game would be amazing in 3D and especially playing with people around the world with the Nintendo Wi-Fi connections. If I go back and think about the gameplay and levels I just wish it could be brought back, but again, it’s the Rare/Microsoft situation stopping it. If only the rumour of a digital re-release was true, that would be good enough for me.

So there we go, the top five games I want Nintendo to spruce up and convert into 3D. Now I want to know what games you want back in 3D, so please comment with your ideas. Now I am in a nostalgic mood I am off to play some Ocarina of Time!
