Bruce repluses Amanda in new Filth clip

Filth still

Lionsgate have released this tense new clip from the film Filth, to celebrate its release in Scotland this week.

Filth is based on a Irvine Welsh book and stars James McAvoy as corrupt, scheming policeman Bruce Robertson – who will stop at nothing to get a promotion.

But as he turns his colleagues against each other, by stealing their wives and exposing their secrets, Bruce starts to lose control of his own web of deceit. With his past catching up with him, his crippling drug habit and suspicious colleagues all taking a toll on his sanity, the question is – can he keep his grip on reality and disentangle himself from the filth?

The film is directed by  Jon S. Baird and also stars Jamie Bell (The Adventures of Tintin), Jim Broadbent (The Iron Lady), Imogen Poots (Fright Night) and Joanne Froggatt (Downtown Abbey).

Filth is playing in cinemas in the rest of the UK on 4 October.
