Jamelia Joins BBC Caribbean Crime Drama

Filming has started on the second series of BBC One’s Death in Paradise, starring Ben Miller. Miller is once again joined by series regulars, Sara Martins, Danny John-Jules, Don Warrington and Gary Carr with plenty of guest stars lined up, including British singer-songwriter Jamelia in her first role for TV.

The series is currently being filmed on the stunning Caribbean island of Guadeloupe (honestly, Google it) and will return to BBC One early next year.

Jamelia commented: “I’m so excited – not only am I in a great drama filming my first TV role but I’m doing it in the Caribbean too! I’m really looking forward to working with such a talented cast.”

Other guests stars set to appear in the second series includes Stephanie Beacham (Coronation Street), Amanda Mealing (Holby City), Michael Brandon (Dempsey & Makepeace), Tom Ward (Silent Witness), Dexter Fletcher (Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels), Kelly Adams (Hustle), Patrick Baladi (Mistresses), Bryan Dick (Eric & Ernie), Kenneth Cranham (Made in Dagenham) and Gemma Jones (Spooks).
