Forza Motorsport 5 to feature open wheel racing

Open wheel cars will be making their debut in the Forza franchise, as confirmed Microsoft and developer Turn 10 studios.

“Including open-wheel cars in Forza Motorsport 5 brings Forza fans a whole new world of racing action,” said Alan Hartman, studio manager for Turn 10 Studios.

The game will include a selection of classic grand prix cars such as 1976 McLaren M23 and the 1976 Ferrari 312-2. Along with these additions ‘IndyCar’ race cars will also be making their debut to the series.

Forza Motorsport 5  is scheduled for release later this year and will be exclusively on the Xbox One.
