Classic Album Selection Marks 30 Years Without The Jam

To mark 30 years since the dramatic break up of  The Jam in 1982, Universal are set to release a Classic Album Selection Box set, containing the bands 6 studio recordings released between 1977 and 1982.

Fans were left hungry for more when in 1982, at the height of their career The Jam called it a day and went their separate ways. All the band members, Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Butler went on to have varying success in other projects, most notably Weller’s high flying solo career, but for many hardcore fans of The Jam, none of it could match up to the raw sound of those early recordings.

Now to mark 30 years since the break-up, Universal have resisted the temptation to plug another dreary Greatest Hits album and rereleased the band’s studio recordings in one smart-looking and handy, box set. The line up includes:

  1. In the City (1977)
  2. This is the Modern World (1977)
  3. All Mod Cons (1978)
  4. Setting Sons (1979)
  5. Sound Affects (1980)
  6. The Gift (1982)

All this delivered in one nifty little box, packaged in individual Vinyl-replica CD’s with rigid slip cases. Released in time to make a perfect present for any fan of The Jam or the rock ‘n’ roll genre.

You can get your hands on the set on 3 December 2012.
