Assassin’s Creed III: The Tyranny Of King Washington Episode 2 – ‘The Betrayal’ Goes Live Today

The Assassin’s Creed series took the plunge into alternate realities with its recent debut of the Tyranny Of King Washington DLC series. The first episode has been in the hands of gamers for a few weeks now, letting Connor experience a different way for the American Revolution to have played out, with different abilities to boot.

Today the PC and Xbox 360 will see Episode 2 of the Tyranny Of King Washington plotline, this being entitled The Betrayal. This content also goes live on the PlayStation 3′s midweek update tomorrow, March 20th.

Check out the trailer below:

The Betrayal continues Connor’s quest to face down the evil Washington and his conquest of America. Players will travel to Boston to meet a certain bespectacled founding father and impeach him to join the cause, hence betraying his own people for the greater good. During the course of the new storyline, Connor will gain the powers of the eagle, apparently allowing him to fly short distances and assassinate enemies with ruthless precision. We’re interested to see how this feature pans out.

The final instalment in this alternate-history saga will arrive on April 23rd for PCs and 360s, and April 24th for PS3. Will the tyrannical Washington get his final comeuppance?
