Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag pirate gameplay released

Today a gameplay trailer of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag has been released, showing off the many different activities players can do as Edward Kenway.

The trailer focus mostly on the free roaming side of the game, with no story elements being exposed. Instead focusing on naval combat and exploration.

Elements to look out for in the trailer:

  • treasure and the acquisition of said treasure.
  • upgrading and maintenance of Kenway’s ship ‘The Jackdaw’
  • impressive array of flora and fauna, that could be hunted.
  • conquering of coastal defenses.
  • dynamic and game changing weather conditions.
  • massive and seamless open world, with over 50 unique locations.

Footage of the game looks to have been taken from a PlayStation, due to the control icons seen in the top right hand corner. It is however unclear whether it is the 3 or 4.

Assassin’s Creed Black flag will be making its way on to Playstations 3 and 4, Xbox One and 360, Wii U and PC. Release is currently scheduled for 1 November
